[Financial News] CJ Group Vice Chair Miky Lee received a Lifetime Achievement Medal from the U.S. Asian Hall of Fame in recognition of her contributions to the global spread of K-content and cultural exchange over the past 30-plus years.
According to industry sources on the 8th, Vice Chair Lee received the Centennial Lifetime Achievement Medal at the 2026 Asian Hall of Fame awards ceremony held in Los Angeles, U.S., on the 5th (local time). The medal is awarded to people who have built up achievements and influence over a long period across society.
CJ ENM said she was recognized for her role over more than 30 years in connecting Korea with the world across various fields, including film, music and broadcasting, and in broadening the foundation for the overseas spread of K-content and cultural exchange.
The Asian Hall of Fame honors the achievements and contributions of people of Asian descent in culture, the arts, sports and business. Now in its 22nd edition, it inducted Vice Chair Lee, BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Hideo Nomo, a former Japanese baseball player, among others.
Vice Chair Lee said, “Culture is like oxygen: In everyday life, it is easy to forget how precious it is, but we can never live without it. The greatest legacy we can leave is not simply what we have achieved so far, but creating opportunities for the next generation to dream bigger and take on new possibilities.”
