“K-Strawberries Go Global” ... Nonsan Strawberry Expo Promotes Itself Worldwide at Incheon Airport

[Financial News] Nonsan-si in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea’s leading strawberry city, will promote next year’s “Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo” to overseas visitors at Incheon International Airport, a global gateway, to ensure the event’s successful hosting.
 The Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo Organizing Committee announced on the 6th that it will operate a promotional pavilion for the “2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo” in conjunction with the “2026 Incheon Airport Sky Festival (SKY FESTIVAL),” which will be held on the 7th and 8th at Inspire Entertainment Resort on Yeongjong Island, Incheon.
 The promotional campaign was planned to make use of a global venue drawing visitors from around the world as well as aviation and airport industry officials, in order to build international awareness of the Expo and attract overseas participants.
 The committee plans to introduce the Expo’s purpose and key attractions to domestic and international visitors at the venue. It will also hold on-site events encouraging visitors to follow its official social media accounts and subscribe on YouTube, boosting engagement and broadening the reach of its online promotional channels. The committee also plans to promote Nonsan’s diverse tourism resources and cultural appeal, while highlighting the distinctive competitiveness of high-quality Nonsan strawberries and the potential of South Korea’s strawberry industry.
 In recent years, Korean strawberries have expanded their export markets beyond Southeast Asia to the Middle East and North America, building a reputation as a key export product for K-food on the strength of their exceptional sweetness and aroma and excellent quality-control systems. Nonsan-si, in particular, has greatly enhanced the competitiveness of domestic cultivars such as “Seolhyang” and “Vitaberry” through advances in greenhouse cultivation technology and technical guidance for farmers, and has also achieved results exporting to distant countries by developing technology to preserve freshness. 
  A committee official said, “We have high hopes for the opportunity to promote the Expo by meeting overseas visitors in person at a major global event near Incheon Airport, where people from all over the world pass through.” The official added, “We will continue to make active use of various international events and key venues to create an Expo that draws attention from around the world.”
 Meanwhile, the “2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo,” with the slogan “Nonsan, Setting the Standard for the Global Strawberry Industry,” will take place over 24 days, from February 26 to March 21 next year, in the area around Nonsan Citizen and Family Park. Going beyond a simple festival for local specialties, it is being organized as a global industry expo encompassing the entire strawberry ecosystem, from production, processing, distribution and exports to smart agriculture and food tech.
