[Financial News] Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) and the KOSDAQ Listed Companies Association signed an MOU on the 6th at IBK headquarters in Euljiro, Seoul, to “revitalize the KOSDAQ market and strengthen the growth foundations of KOSDAQ companies.”
Under the agreement, the two organizations agreed to work together to expand financial and non-financial support for KOSDAQ companies, identify companies’ business challenges and policy needs, and develop joint initiatives to revitalize the KOSDAQ market.
The agreement was pursued as part of the activities of the “KOSDAQ Revitalization TF,” launched by IBK Financial Group last February. The TF aims to address information asymmetry in the KOSDAQ market and support the sustained growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies.
By October, the KOSDAQ Revitalization TF had recorded group-wide achievements including approximately 337.5 billion won in pre-IPO and mezzanine investments and fund management, the publication of 178 analytical reports on KOSDAQ companies, and value-up consulting and IPO support for 114 companies.
Jang Min-young, president of Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), said, “This MOU will help bring KOSDAQ support activities closer to businesses. We will work with the KOSDAQ Listed Companies Association to improve SMEs’ access to capital markets and revitalize the KOSDAQ market.”
