TS said it had held the “2026 Second-Half Mobility Policy Briefing” on the 6th in the main conference room at Seoul Station for local government officials responsible for mobility. It introduced key policies and examples of their application and held a Q&A session to help local governments pursue improvement projects suited to local conditions.
The briefing covered mobility improvement plans, the Small-Scale Smart City Development Project, a survey of the status of advanced mobility, and cases of local government participation in and planning for regulatory sandboxes. Attendees reviewed points to consider when assessing policies and implementing projects, and shared ways to use national mobility data.
TS plans to continue providing relevant information to help local governments choose policy tools suited to their region’s characteristics. It will gather on-the-ground feedback raised during the policy implementation process and support locally led mobility projects.
TS Chairman Yong-Sik Jung said, “For mobility policies to lead to tangible improvements in convenience of getting around locally, it is important that local governments implementing those policies understand and make use of them.” He added, “TS will continue to actively support local governments in pursuing mobility improvement projects suited to local conditions, drawing on the data it holds and its policy support capabilities.”
