[Financial News] AlgoCare, a healthcare company that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze which nutritional supplements individuals need and automatically combine them each day, is growing. The company surpassed 1 billion won in monthly revenue this year and plans to expand its business by broadening its business-to-consumer (B2C) product lineup in Korea and entering the US market.
AI analyzes and combines nutritional supplements...Monthly revenue tops 1 billion won

According to the healthcare industry on the 6th, AlgoCare provides personalized nutrition management services using AI and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. It analyzes individuals’ health conditions and lifestyles, recommends the nutrients they need, and automatically dispenses supplements through a device it developed in-house. Its service connects everything from health information analysis and supplement recommendations to intake and management.
Founded in 2019, AlgoCare has built a business model combining AI health analysis technology, nutritional supplements, and smart dispensers.
Its main products and services include the home nutrition management device AlgoCare E1, its dedicated supplement line AlgoCare Nutrition, and its AI-based service MyAlgo.
AlgoCare E1, its flagship product, stores various types of nutritional supplements inside the device and provides users with a different combination of the supplements they need each day. The device can hold up to eight types of supplement bottles and dispenses the required supplements one pill at a time, based on combinations recommended by AI. It is designed to spare users the hassle of choosing different supplements themselves and managing their doses one by one.
AlgoCare has also developed its own AI-based health information analysis technology. According to the company, its AI, which incorporates the expertise and hands-on experience of a team of pharmacist researchers from Seoul National University, comprehensively analyzes health checkup results, prescription medications users are taking, and their lifestyles. It also considers that day’s sleep, fatigue, and overall condition to recommend a personalized combination of nutrients.
It also has analytical capabilities that take into account interactions between medications and nutrients.
AlgoCare said it had validated 47,573 pharmaceutical data records and uses them to analyze potential interactions between medications and nutrients, as well as the risk of adverse effects. The system is designed to take into account the possibility of interactions with medications users are taking when recommending supplements.
AlgoCare has also developed its own supplement manufacturing technology. It applies a micro-tablet technology to minimize the use of unnecessary excipients and manage ingredient content and formulations. Excipients are substances added to give tablets their form or assist in the manufacturing process.
One of its flagship products, Synergy Magnesium, uses micro-tablets measuring 5.1 mm in diameter. The company has made it possible to adjust each person’s supplement intake by dispensing these tablets one at a time through a smart dispenser.
AlgoCare expanded its customer base in the B2C market this year and surpassed 1 billion won in monthly revenue. According to the company, its revenue grew tenfold within six months of entering the B2C market. The company also said that national team athletes, medical professionals, and celebrities use its nutrition management service.
Next-generation device launched...AlgoCare pursues US market entry

AlgoCare is improving the functions of its existing products while expanding its range of devices and supplements. This year, it launched E1 Pro, a next-generation smart dispenser featuring facial and voice recognition technology. The company is also advancing its health-data-based personalization technology and broadening its supplement lineup.
The company plans to further expand the scope of its health information analysis. It aims to combine existing health checkup results, prescription medication information, and lifestyle data with information collected by wearable devices and real-time condition data. This will allow it to analyze users’ health in greater detail and incorporate the findings into personalized nutrition management services.
AlgoCare is also preparing to enter overseas markets. Building on its business experience in Korea’s B2C market, the company is pursuing entry into the US market. It plans to expand overseas its business model combining AI health analysis technology, smart dispensers, and nutritional supplements.
AlgoCare CEO Jeong Ji-won said, “I believe there should be no compromise when it comes to choices for our health,” adding, “Our goal is to make it possible for people to benefit from careful, expert care in their everyday lives, going beyond simply making it more convenient to take nutritional supplements.” Jeong added, “We will build a brand that customers can trust with their health, and whose value and quality they will trust even more as time goes by.”
