[Financial News] Lotte Duty Free is launching a Chanel experiential store at Incheon International Airport, targeting year-end travelers. By combining exclusive products, beauty services and digital experiences, it aims to enhance shopping offerings that encourage travelers to spend time at airport duty-free stores.
According to industry sources on the 6th, Lotte Duty Free will operate the “Chanel Holiday Mega Podium” at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 through the 25th of next month. The space is decorated in a golden snowfield theme inspired by the snow-covered mountains and chalets of St. Moritz in the Alps.
The podium will feature duty-free exclusives in Korea, including “N°5 Stellar Body Oil” and “Coco Mademoiselle Shimmering Body Oil.” It will also sell holiday-season limited-edition products, as well as fragrances such as Les Exclusifs de Chanel, N°5, Coco Mademoiselle and Bleu de Chanel, along with makeup and skincare products.
Experiential content will also be available. Chanel’s personalized beauty service, “THE MOMENT,” will be offered to customers who make reservations on site, alongside skincare and makeup experience programs.
At the “Digital Ski Photo Booth,” visitors can play a game in which they control a skier on screen. They can also receive via QR code AI-generated images based on photos taken during the game.
A Lotte Duty Free representative said, “We created this podium so that customers visiting Incheon International Airport during the year-end travel season can experience Chanel’s special holiday spirit,” adding, “We will continue to seek out differentiated exclusive products and experiential content to strengthen the competitiveness of airport duty-free shopping.”
