[Financial News] A fall festival where visitors can enjoy artworks and take part in a variety of activities will be held at Seoul Grand Park. Seoul Grand Park said on the 6th that it would hold the fall festival ‘A Forest Colored by Art’ on the 7th and 8th around Meeting Plaza.
The festival will feature a range of programs celebrating the autumn atmosphere, including an outdoor art exhibition, eco-friendly craft activities, street performances and events for children.
A special exhibition, ‘The Forest That Becomes Real,’ featuring around 20 works by picture-book author Jeon I-su, will be held on a lawn near Meeting Plaza. The exhibition will continue through the 29th, even after the festival ends.
Four types of eco-friendly craft programs using discarded materials will also be offered free of charge. Visitors can make decorations from reclaimed wood, necklaces from glass fragments, mirrors from recycled plastic and toys for pets, experiencing the importance of resource recycling and environmental protection.
Programs for families will also be offered. On the 7th, the ‘Children’s Drawing Contest’ will invite children to depict autumn scenery. Children can take part on-site, and souvenirs will be given to selected participants in a drawing.
Other activities during the festival will include a photo challenge along a fallen-leaf path, an animal-themed prize draw for children and fall graffiti coloring.
Visitors can enjoy autumn walks along foliage-lined paths throughout the park. Representative routes include the loop trail along the zoo’s service road, the stretch between the Marine Hall and Camel House, the ginkgo-lined path at the South America Pavilion, and the stretch between Bear House and Predator House. Fall rest areas equipped with camping chairs and beanbag sofas will also be set up beneath the autumn leaves.
Street performances in a variety of genres will take place at Meeting Plaza from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the 8th.
A Seoul Grand Park official said, “This year, we have brought together art exhibitions, eco-friendly activities, performances and spaces to relax, so we hope many members of the public will visit the festival and take their time enjoying autumn at Seoul Grand Park, colored by art.”
