【Financial News, Incheon = Reporter Han Gab-soo】 Incheon City has joined forces with specialized organizations to address housing concerns at every stage of life, from those of young people and newly married couples to middle-aged adults and older people. The goal is to reduce gaps in housing welfare by building a support system that covers everything from housing counseling and information on public rental housing to connections with welfare services.
Incheon City said it signed a business agreement on the 6th at City Hall with LH Housing Welfare Information Co., Ltd. and the Incheon Metropolitan Housing Welfare Center to provide housing counseling for residents and connect them with welfare services.
The agreement was drawn up to respond more closely to housing needs that vary by age and household type. Its core aim is to provide information suited to each situation and connect people with the support they need, from helping young people secure housing and ensuring housing stability for newly married couples to addressing the housing problems of middle-aged adults and older people.
Under the agreement, the organizations will work together to provide tailored housing counseling for each stage of life and information on housing support programs, including public rental housing. They will divide responsibilities based on each organization’s expertise and plan to operate a working-level consultative committee.
In particular, rather than simply providing information about housing policies, they plan to focus on identifying households facing multiple, interconnected housing and welfare problems and connecting them with the services they need. The aim is to establish a system that links residents in need of support with appropriate services through regular working-level consultations.
The city plans to operate a working-level consultative committee with the organizations involved in the agreement, identify households in need of housing welfare support, and expand joint projects to promote housing stability for residents.
Mayor Park Chan-dae said, “This agreement has laid the groundwork for residents to receive one-stop guidance on housing support information tailored to their stage of life.”
