[Financial News] Maserati Korea is launching an exclusive financing program with Meritz Capital that lowers monthly payments by assigning a high residual value to the vehicle at the end of the contract. The program is available for models including the Maserati Grecale, Gran Turismo, and GranCabrio. At maturity, customers can choose to buy the vehicle, return it, or switch to a new one. The aim is to extend the customer experience throughout the vehicle purchase and ownership journey, adding financing to warranty and maintenance benefits.
On the 6th, Maserati Korea announced that it had signed an agreement on financial services with Meritz Capital and would launch a financing program exclusive to the brand. Gaurav Thapa, head of Maserati Korea, and Kim Jeong-hyeon, executive vice president overseeing retail sales at Meritz Capital, attended the signing ceremony.
Maserati said it developed the program to extend the brand experience into the financial sphere. It covers the entire customer journey, from vehicle consultations and signing a contract through delivery and the end of the financing contract. Meritz Capital plans to offer options tailored to Maserati customers’ lifestyles, drawing on its experience designing products in the premium imported-car financing market.
The program centers on “ultra-high residual value” and “low-interest” products. The ultra-high residual value product sets the vehicle’s residual value high at the end of the contract, calculating payments based on the value corresponding to the actual period of use rather than the vehicle’s full price. Maserati said that adding competitive interest-rate terms reduces the monthly payment burden. It did not disclose specific interest rates, residual value percentages, or monthly payments. Eligible models include the Maserati Grecale SUV, the high-performance GT Gran Turismo, and the open-top GranCabrio convertible.
Maserati currently provides Grecale buyers with a free five-year warranty with no mileage limit and a three-year maintenance program as standard. The company said it expects these benefits to create synergies with the new financing program.
Gaurav Thapa, head of Maserati Korea, said, “This partnership is intended to provide a brand experience worthy of Italian luxury, from purchasing a vehicle through ownership,” adding, “Building on Meritz Capital’s expertise, we hope to ease the burden and broaden the range of choices so that more customers can experience the Maserati lifestyle.”
