[Financial News] Incheon International Airport Corporation is targeting the overseas airport solutions market with artificial intelligence (AI) and smart technologies. It is seeking to expand exports by showcasing airport operations systems it developed jointly with domestic small and medium-sized businesses to global airport operators and investors. Its strategy is to broaden its business beyond overseas airport construction and operations to include exports of advanced solutions, combining its airport operations expertise with private-sector technological capabilities.
Incheon International Airport Corporation said on the 6th that it had participated in the “Super Terminal Expo 2026 (STE 2026),” held in Hong Kong from the 3rd to the 5th, where it showcased AI-based K-Airport Solution and sought to open up overseas sales channels. STE is a leading airport industry exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region. This year, around 120 global brands and some 6,000 aviation industry representatives from more than 60 countries took part.
Incheon Airport Corporation operated a “K-Airport Solution exhibition booth” with partner small and medium-sized businesses, focusing on five technologies with short-term export potential and global competitiveness.
The main technologies on display were the self-developed Airport Digital Transformation Maturity Assessment (A-DMA) platform and the AI platform for airport infrastructure operations (ATOM). The company also showcased systems developed jointly with private companies, including an aircraft visual docking guidance system (A-VDGS), a common-use check-in and baggage check system (AirCUS·AirBRS), and a smart baggage scale (Smart BTU).
The company introduced solutions developed with the participation of domestic firms such as Anse Technology, Uriel Soft, and Bluestone DXT to global buyers, exploring opportunities to enter overseas markets. It demonstrated the technologies on site and held one-on-one meetings with overseas airport operators and investors to identify new business opportunities and assess export potential.
Incheon Airport Corporation also presented examples of airport operations innovation at the official conference. It attended “Airport Dialogue,” a forum for executives, and expanded its cooperative network with key figures in the aviation industry across Asia.
Its technological competitiveness was also recognized. Incheon Airport Corporation was selected as the winner in the “Best Terminal Operations Innovation” category at the “STE Awards” held during the exhibition. It has now won the same category for two consecutive years, following last year. The award was seen as recognition of its achievements in innovating passenger services and terminal operations through AI and data.
Incheon Airport Corporation plans to use its participation in the exhibition to expand support for domestic airport solutions companies seeking to enter overseas markets. It aims to draw on its airport operations experience and brand competitiveness to help domestic companies secure overseas contracts and identify new business opportunities.
Acting President Kim Beom-ho of Incheon International Airport Corporation said, "This participation in STE 2026 provided an opportunity to highlight Team Korea’s global competitiveness by combining Incheon Airport’s world-class airport operations expertise with the innovative technologies of private companies. Going forward, we will continue to support promising companies in expanding overseas in partnership with us, using the Incheon Airport brand as a bridge, and become an export platform that delivers tangible results in overseas contract wins."
