[Financial News] The University of Seoul (UOS) is stepping up a youth startup support program that provides young entrepreneurs with practical commercialization funding and artificial intelligence (AI) technology solutions.
UOS said on the 5th that its Startup Support Group held a networking day for the ‘2026 Everyone’s Startup Project, Cohort 2,’ on the 2nd at Seoul Dragon City in Yongsan District, Seoul.
The event was organized to share startup know-how and build a foundation for cooperation by bringing together professional mentors participating in the project and participants who advanced to Round 1. About 110 people, including representatives of the Startup Support Group, mentors and Round 1 participants, attended and reviewed business ideas and discussed commercialization plans.
The ‘Everyone’s Startup Project, Cohort 2’ is a youth startup development program running through February 2027. Following a review, UOS will select teams advancing through each of a total of three stages (rounds), with selected teams receiving practical benefits at every stage, including funds for startup activities and AI solutions.
Participants held in-depth discussions with mentors in their areas of interest, meeting one-on-one to explore business cooperation. UOS plans to gather participants’ feedback, beginning with this event, and actively incorporate it into the operation of future programs.
Hwang Ji-eun, head of UOS’s Startup Support Group, said, “It was a meaningful gathering where highly capable mentors and participants came together to exchange practical startup information.” She added, “We will continue to do our utmost to expand the local startup ecosystem and nurture innovative young entrepreneurs through systematic follow-up mentoring and diverse support.”
