[Financial News] Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) shared evaluation criteria and key examples of score deductions to help companies with new technologies participate in calls for technical proposals. It plans to reduce confusion in preparing proposals and for reviews, and to reflect companies’ opinions in improvements to the system.
K-water said it held a company roundtable on the review system for specific construction methods and materials on the 5th at DCC in Yuseong District, Daejeon, with about 50 representatives from companies with new technologies and patented technologies in attendance. Departments responsible for the calls and reviews took part together and explained points to note at each stage, from preparing documents to presentation evaluations.
At the roundtable, K-water explained how to ensure that application documents meet requirements and what to keep in mind when recommending items for review. It then outlined the review process, criteria for evaluating proposal presentations, and examples of incomplete documents and score deductions, and answered questions from companies.
K-water runs calls for technical proposals for specific construction methods and materials valued at or above a certain amount. To ensure the independence and expertise of evaluations, it operates separate departments responsible for the calls and reviews, and publishes information on major calls and their results on the K-Water Industry Support Portal.
Company representatives also shared difficulties they had faced during the application process and suggestions for improvement. K-water plans to review their feedback, refine the evaluation process, and improve its system for identifying outstanding technologies.
