[Financial News] TV personality Jo Se-ho is launching a new YouTube channel and resuming his activities. After wrapping up the final shoot for the variety show he had regularly appeared on, he plans to share content that lets him communicate directly with subscribers.
According to entertainment industry sources on the 5th, the name of Jo Se-ho’s new YouTube channel is “How Can I Go If I Don’t Know?” The channel launches that day.
The new channel is expected to feature content in which subscribers meet and talk with him in person.
Jo Se-ho recently wrapped filming for the variety show “Screwballs,” on which he had appeared as a regular cast member through its final episode.
News of the show’s conclusion was reported on the 25th of last month. Production company Studio Ttupeul said, “We will bring our journey to a close with episode 16 of the sixth season currently airing.” Regarding the final shoot, it said, “With such a distinctive story and relationships having developed, both the cast and crew wrapped up the final shoot with deep regret.”
The production company also thanked viewers who had supported the show. It said, “Although the show had many shortcomings in various respects, it was thanks to the fans who have always shown us unwavering love that ‘Screwballs’ was able to make it this far, at a time when long-running variety shows are hard to sustain.”
The final broadcast is scheduled for the 21st. Studio Ttupeul said, “We will do our utmost in production through the final episode, which will air on November 21,” adding, “Once all the episodes have aired, we will once again offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped with ‘Screwballs’ on its journey.”
Meanwhile, after allegations of ties to organized crime surfaced last year, Jo Se-ho voluntarily left tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” and KBS 2TV’s “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4,” both of which he had regularly appeared on. At the time, he decided to leave because the allegations surrounding him could burden the shows and their production teams.
His agency categorically denied the allegations raised at the time. It said Jo Se-ho was not involved in the person’s business and that the claim he had received money or other valuables was also untrue. The agency said it would take legal action over the spread of false information.
