[Financial News] Outdoor brand BLACKYAK won the Grand Prize and Gold Winner Award at ISPO Amsterdam 2026, the world’s largest sports and outdoor trade fair, held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
According to industry sources on the 5th, ISPO, which began in Munich, Germany, in 1970, is a global trade fair where industry brands showcase innovative technologies and products. With these latest wins, BLACKYAK became the only brand worldwide to have won a total of 38 ISPO awards.
BLACKYAK entered its performance-oriented DNS line, developed at its research and development (R&D) center in Germany, and won two awards. The Grand Prize is the highest honor, awarded to one product in each category that receives the highest evaluation.
The award-winning products were made with advanced materials and precise designs, focusing on the functionality required for actual high-altitude expeditions and professional mountaineering activities. The DNS Tulagi Stretch GORE-TEX PRO 3L Jacket, which won the Grand Prize, is a high-performance hard-shell jacket optimized for technical alpine climbing and ice climbing.
The Majeno Ultra-Light Insulated Shell Jacket, winner of the Gold Winner Award, is an ultra-light shell jacket that combines the lightweight construction and temperature-regulation features needed for high-intensity activities.
At the trade fair, BLACKYAK operated a booth recreating a Himalayan base camp under the theme “Bringing the Himalayas to Amsterdam” and highlighted its identity as a professional outdoor brand.
BLACKYAK will use its participation in the trade fair to accelerate the expansion of its distribution network in key European markets, including the UK, Scandinavia and the Benelux countries. BLACKYAK Chairman Kang Tae-sun said, “This award is recognition of BLACKYAK’s technological capabilities, developed through research focused on the functionality required in real mountain environments. We will continue to focus on developing products for mountaineers, drawing on the experience gained from Himalayan expeditions and technological innovations at our R&D center in Germany.”
