[Financial News] Yuanta Securities is expanding its in-house training program to strengthen employees’ ability to use artificial intelligence (AI).
The company plans to offer tailored training for each level, from executives and department heads to general staff, and connect it to real workplace innovation through hands-on programs such as vibe coding and AI agent development.
Yuanta Securities said on the 5th that it has launched “AIbility Academy STEP-UP,” an AI training program for employees, to strengthen AI capabilities companywide and generate innovative results.
This program is an advanced course following last year’s “AIbility Academy.” It expands training to executives, department heads and general staff, with a focus on developing in-house AI specialists who can directly tackle challenges in their areas of work.
The training has three stages: Leader, Advanced and Master. The first stage, the Leader course, is being held for executives and department heads from the 4th through the 6th.
The executive training focuses on understanding corporate AI transformation (AX) and practicing vibe coding, with an emphasis on building the leadership needed to drive AI innovation across the company.
The department-head course focuses on changes to managers’ work and leadership as AI is adopted, and is designed to help them identify tasks in their departments that can be improved using AI.
In the first half of next year, Yuanta Securities plans to run the Advanced course for 130 employees selected from its headquarters and branches. The hands-on training will have participants use vibe coding and AI agents to solve real work-related challenges in their respective departments, with the aim of developing in-house AI specialists.
Twenty outstanding graduates of the Advanced course will be offered the Master course separately. They will be trained as in-house AI instructors and tasked with sharing practical know-how on using AI and expanding training across the organization. The goal is to build a self-sustaining AX culture in which AI capabilities are developed within the organization rather than relying on external training.
Park Ho-young, head of Yuanta Securities’ HR Innovation Division, said, “The significance of this AIbility Academy STEP-UP course lies in creating a virtuous cycle in which leaders set the direction, experts in the field solve problems, and in-house AI instructors spread the AX framework throughout the organization.” He added, “We will continue to expand specialized training so that innovation through AI and working alongside AI can become part of our everyday culture.”
