[Financial News] I am pleased and grateful to receive such a meaningful award in the year marking around 20 years since I first stepped into the robotics industry at the Korea Institute of Robotics & Technology Convergence. Although I am not a researcher who conducts robotics research directly, I have gained experience across various areas of the robotics industry through my work as a planner, including running the Korea Intelligent Robot Contest and the Robot Grand Challenge, establishing the Robot Job Innovation Center, and developing the workforce. Through that experience, I learned that the robotics industry can advance when technological development goes hand in hand with nurturing talent, collaboration between companies and institutions, and efforts to help new technologies take root in the field.
With humanoid robots and Physical AI drawing attention recently, the robotics industry is facing a new turning point. Given the rapid pace of technological change, the role of planning in translating it into policies and initiatives is becoming even more important. I will continue to keep a close eye on developments in the robotics industry, consider the direction Korea’s robotics industry should take, and fulfill my role as a planner.
I will continue to contribute in my role to bringing robots closer to industrial workplaces and everyday life, and helping Korea’s robotics industry take another step forward.
