[Financial News] SGC Partners is joining forces with Jeonbuk Technopark (TP) to expand investment in regional strategic industries, including artificial intelligence (AI), future mobility and renewable energy. The plan is to identify promising local companies and connect them with private investment to strengthen its business foothold in the Honam region.
According to SGC Partners on the 5th, it signed an MOU with Jeonbuk TP to identify promising companies and promote investment in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will work together to identify local companies with high growth potential and provide support at each stage of their growth, including investment reviews and consultations and connections to investor relations (IR) presentations.
Jeonbuk TP will use information and networks developed through its support for local companies to identify promising investment candidates and recommend them to SGC Partners. It will also support the relevant procedures to help those companies successfully attract investment.
SGC Partners plans to assess the business viability and growth potential of the companies referred to it and provide expert consultations and IR opportunities to companies under investment review. It will also connect them with external investment networks and identify support programs tailored to each company’s growth stage.
It also plans to work with local governments and related institutions to secure locally sourced investment capital and expand investment projects, strengthening its business foothold in the Honam region.
Lee Gyu-taek, president of Jeonbuk TP, said, "This agreement has laid the groundwork for promising local companies to connect with the private investment market. We will strengthen investment connections and support tailored to companies’ growth stages and contribute to revitalizing regional industries."
Seo Young-hyun, CEO of SGC Partners, said, "We hope this agreement will serve as a practical springboard for growth for innovative companies in the province. We will continue to work closely together to actively nurture promising companies that will bring vitality to the local economy."
