[Financial News] Daekyo is stepping up its edutainment content business by opening ticket bookings on the 5th for the South Korean run of Season 2 of 'Numberblocks,' a family musical co-produced with theater production company Brush Theatre. Building on the success of Season 1, which recorded the highest annual ticket reservation rate in the children's and family musical category in 2025, the follow-up will take the stage first at Marina Bay Sands Theatre in Singapore on December 16 before coming to audiences in Korea.
'Numberblocks' is based on a popular math animated series aired on the BBC in the UK, and helps audiences naturally learn basic math concepts by singing and dancing with number characters. Season 2, titled 'In Search of Giant Land,' follows the protagonists on an adventure aboard their own train to the mysterious Giant Land. New characters, large-scale puppets, and a rich variety of visuals and music add to the spectacle.
To coincide with the show's opening, Daekyo will also launch three character-themed headband products that it planned and developed itself. It plans to offer audiences a different kind of enjoyment through character merchandise linked to the show and continue expanding its content business using the original intellectual property (IP).
The South Korean run will take place at Theater Yong at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul from January 8 to March 1, 2027. Tickets will be available to book from the 5th through Ticketlink, Naver, and NOL Ticket.
