Hope Bridge said on the 5th that, at its in-house event “AX Day,” the association selected three entries in the completeness category and two in the ideas category following an all-staff vote and an executive review. The Disaster and Relief Field Map was selected in the completeness category.
During the heavy rains in August, Hope Bridge sent supplies to flood-hit areas through the disaster relief logistics centers in Hamyang and Paju and the local supply chains of partner companies. As of Aug. 27, the relief supplies delivered to Tongyeong and Geoje in South Gyeongsang Province and Gangseo District in Busan totaled 60,032 items, including bottled water and mats for shelters.
In the ideas category, a “QR Code-Based Souvenir Management System” was selected. It uses mobile devices to track goods received and dispatched, as well as inventory, in real time. The system was designed to reduce errors and omissions caused by handwritten records.
Also among the selected entries was a “Temporary Relief Facility Locator,” which lets users check the locations of facilities for displaced people and whether they can accept residents. Other selections included an “Annual Budget Execution Dashboard,” which automatically totals spending by accounting unit and budget item, and an “Integrated Project Status Management System,” which provides a single place to check fund allocations and project progress.
Hope Bridge plans to introduce the selected entries into its operations in stages and share them across departments. Shin Hoon, secretary-general of Hope Bridge, said, “It is meaningful that staff planned and developed these themselves based on needs they recognized in the field.”
