[Financial News] Samyang Corporation's French-style ham 'ServeQ Jambon' has been recognized for its product competitiveness through technological innovation.
According to industry sources on the 5th, Samyang Corporation's French-style ham 'ServeQ Jambon,' part of its food-ingredient distribution brand ServeQ, won the technical grand prize, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award, at the 'Korea Food Research Institute Food Technology Awards.' Organized by the Korea Food Research Institute, the Food Technology Awards were established to recognize companies that have contributed to the development of the food industry through research and development and technological innovation, and to promote excellence in food technology.
'ServeQ Jambon' is a processed ham made using a traditional French recipe. A distinguishing feature is that it is made with 96.38% domestic pork.
Samyang Corporation applied a whole-muscle process to preserve the meat's natural texture. The method involves processing the meat as whole cuts without grinding it, preserving the muscle structure and grain. For aging, the company introduced a low-temperature process lasting at least 100 hours to bring out pork's natural flavor and tender texture.
Yoon Byung-gak, head of Samyang Corporation's Distribution PU, said, "We will continue to enhance our customers' menu competitiveness by developing differentiated ingredients and contribute to the development of the domestic food industry."
