[Financial News] NH Investment & Securities has joined the “Finance That Saves Lives” relay campaign to prevent harm from illegal private lending and protect financially vulnerable groups.
On the 5th, NH Investment & Securities said the campaign is an initiative that the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency has been running since last July. It was launched to raise awareness of people facing hardship because of illegal private lending and to promote finance’s social role.
NH Investment & Securities CEOs Shin Jae-wook and Bae Gwang-su joined the campaign after being nominated by Jang Jong-hwan, CEO of NH Capital Co., Ltd. The two CEOs recommended Kim Gyu-bin, CEO of Toss Securities, and Welcome Savings Bank CEOs Park Jong-seong and Son Dae-hui as the next participants.
Shin Jae-wook and Bae Gwang-su said, “We took part because, as members of NH Financial Group, we share the belief that finance should help neighbors facing hardship get back on their feet. We will work to protect consumers and prevent harm from illegal private lending so that customers can use financial services with confidence.”
NH Investment & Securities is also expanding its efforts to support financially vulnerable groups and foster mutually beneficial relationships with local communities. It has increased to 100 companies a year the number eligible for crowdfunding support to help beginning farmers find sales channels. It is also supporting the installation of refrigerators for rural village communities and running initiatives such as the “Hope Tree Scholarship” for middle and high school students from vulnerable groups.
