[Financial News] Korean Air won three honors in an airline service evaluation organized by leading U.S. daily USA Today.
Korean Air said on the 5th that it placed first in three categories—business and first class, in-flight dining, and cabin crew—in USA Today’s 2026 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. This is the first time Korean Air has placed first in all the major airline-related evaluation categories.
Each year, USA Today publishes rankings of the top 10 companies in fields including aviation, airports, lodging, and travel. General readers vote online from among nominees selected by a panel of experts.
Korean Air has continued to improve its business- and first-class seats and onboard services. Its Prestige Suites 2.0 business-class seat reclines 180 degrees to form a bed, and the in-flight entertainment system has also been upgraded. The airline revamped meals in its premium cabins around multi-course dining and expanded its selection of wines and beverages. It has also introduced products from high-end international brands for first-class loungewear, bedding, and amenities.
In the in-flight dining category, menus that reinterpret traditional Korean cuisine in a modern way and a pre-order service received high marks. Korean Air also broadened the snack selection on long-haul economy-class routes, giving passengers more choice.
Korean Air was also recognized for its service in the cabin crew category. Ahead of its integration with Asiana Airlines this December, the airline is reviewing its cabin services across the board and operating a standardized training program. It plans to maintain consistent service quality and safety standards after the integration as well.
A Korean Air representative said, “These results are especially meaningful because they reflect the choices of readers around the world,” adding, “We will continue to make safety and customer service our top priorities and strengthen our standing as a global airline.”
