Wavve to offer previews without sign-up... Golf AI streaming also free

[Financial News] Online video service Wavve is launching a feature that lets users watch some content without logging in and is enabling TV viewing with its Basic plan. It is also making its AI streaming feature for golf broadcasts available for free to improve user access.

Wavve said on the 5th that it would offer 'Open Preview,' which lets users preview content without signing up or logging in, on its mobile app and PC website. Previously, nonmembers could browse content listings; now they can play the beginning of a title. Wavve plans to expand the service to all platforms, including TVs.
Preview times vary by content. Users can watch regular video-on-demand (VOD), including domestic TV programs, variety shows and animation, for up to 5 minutes; movies for 3 minutes; and live channels for up to 3 minutes per episode.
Wavve is adding TVs to the devices supported by its Basic plan. Previously, the plan was available on mobile devices, tablets and PCs; going forward, users will also be able to watch VOD and live channels on TVs. Wavve said users can enjoy HD viewing on a big screen at no extra cost.

Wavve is also making its 'AI Streaming' feature for golf broadcasts available for free. Previously offered to subscribers, it will now also be available to free members and nonmembers who are not logged in.
'AI Streaming' lets users request a scene in a word or sentence, and AI finds and compiles that scene from the match footage. Users can request scenes featuring a particular player or a long putt, for example. During live broadcasts, they can also use 'AI Highlights' to replay scenes that have already aired.
A Wavve official said, "This revamp is intended to broaden the viewing experience for new and existing users by making the service easier to access and use more widely," and added, "We will continue to develop the service so users can enjoy content in the way they want."
