Daegu City and Gyeongsangbuk-do go all out to expand markets for Daegu–Gyeongbuk (TK) agricultural and specialty products

【Financial News, Daegu–Andong = Reporter Kim Jang-wook】Daegu City and Gyeongsangbuk-do are making every effort to expand markets for agricultural and specialty products.
Daegu City and Gyeongsangbuk-do will hold the '2026 Daegu–Gyeongbuk Agricultural and Specialty Products Co-prosperity Market and Harmony Festival' for three days, from the 6th to the 8th, at Duryu Park Inline Skating Rink.
The event, hosted by the Gyeongbuk Residents' Association in Daegu, was organized to strengthen the shared-roots partnership between Gyeongsangbuk-do, a producer of high-quality agricultural products, and Daegu, a consumer market, and to promote agricultural product consumption.
Mayor Choo Kyung-ho and Governor Lee Cheol-woo stressed, "Unity and a joint response between Daegu and Gyeongbuk are more important than anything else in resolving issues facing the two regions, including the new airport and administrative integration," and added, "We hope this event will be a valuable opportunity to expand markets for outstanding Daegu–Gyeongbuk agricultural and specialty products and foster harmony among residents of the two regions."
Farmers from four districts and counties in Daegu City (Dong-gu and Buk-gu, and Dalseong-gun and Gunwi-gun) and 22 cities and counties in Gyeongsangbuk-do will take part, showcasing local agricultural and specialty products and selling them at discounted prices.
A wide range of items will be available, including agricultural and fisheries products such as apples, pears, Shine Muscat grapes, potatoes, ginger and mushrooms, as well as processed foods such as gochujang, honey and salted seafood.
The event will also offer a variety of programs for visitors to enjoy together, including performances by local singers, a citizens' singing contest, agricultural produce auctions and traditional games.
