[Financial News] An AI program has been launched that, when given contract terms, provides guidance on everything from suitable contracting methods to audit findings users should watch out for.
The Korea Creative Content Agency said on the 5th that its Audit Office-developed AI work-support program, KOCCAWiz, has been providing its first service, focused on public contracts, since the 4th.
KOCCAWiz combines KOCCA, the agency’s English acronym, with “Wizard.” The name signifies an AI assistant that helps with complex tasks.
When users enter details such as the subject of the contract, budget, and contract period, the program provides the contracting method, process, approval routing, relevant regulations, and schedule. It also shows key considerations for each step and publicly available examples of past audit findings. It also features interactive Q&A: when users ask follow-up questions, it answers based on the relevant contract terms and laws and regulations, and cites the applicable provisions.
The Audit Office developed the program in-house with the help of generative AI, without outsourcing the work. It used laws and regulations published through sources including the Korean Law Information Center and ALIO, the public institution management information disclosure system. The program was designed so that information entered by users would not be transmitted externally.
KOCCA plans to expand the service to other areas of work and upgrade the program so that government ministries, public institutions, local governments, and companies receiving support can also use it.
