[Financial News] Hyundai Motor Securities has been named a ‘LEAD company’ by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Korea Association for the second consecutive year.
According to the financial investment industry on the 4th, Hyundai Motor Securities was named a ‘2027 LEAD company’ at the ‘2026 Korea Leaders Summit’ held the previous day. The UNGC Korea Association selects companies each year as LEAD companies for actively participating in the implementation of the Ten Principles across four key areas—human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption—and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Since 2024, Hyundai Motor Securities has stepped up its participation in UNGC activities and expanded its work related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) management and sustainable finance. After being named a LEAD company for the first time last year, it continued those activities this year and was selected for a second consecutive year. In particular, it disclosed its financed emissions for the first time in this year’s sustainability report and revamped its fair trade compliance framework and ESG data management system.
Hyundai Motor Securities President Bae Hyung-geun said, “Being named a LEAD company for the second consecutive year is meaningful because it reflects our achievement in consistently incorporating sustainable management principles throughout our business. We will continue to strengthen our ESG management framework and put sustainable finance into practice as a responsible corporate citizen.”
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Securities won the overall ESG grand prize for the second consecutive year at the ‘2026 K-ESG Management Awards’ on the 26th of last month. The following day, on the 27th, it held the ‘2nd Carbon Finance Insight Day’ to share policy trends related to carbon finance and examples of key projects.
