[Financial News] KES, a company specializing in multifamily housing management that manages about 1,500 apartment complexes nationwide, has officially launched. It plans to expand the scope of its management services by combining the operational capabilities of four existing companies, covering everything from facility maintenance and repairs to resident safety and everyday convenience.
According to the real estate industry on the 4th, a launch ceremony was held on the 3rd at the company’s headquarters in Seoul’s Seocho District, attended by Genesis PE CEO Lee Yu-jae, KES CEO Seo Il-seop, and about 100 executives and employees.
KES is a company that has integrated the experience and operating systems of four companies specializing in multifamily housing management: Gwangin Total Management, Daewon Estate Service, Jeil Estate Service, and Pureun General Housing Management.
The scope of multifamily housing management has recently expanded beyond facility maintenance and repairs to include resident safety, everyday convenience, and community operations, making management companies’ expertise and service capabilities increasingly important. KES plans to combine the on-the-ground experience and management systems of each company to improve the quality of management at each complex.
At its launch ceremony, KES unveiled the vision, “We are leaders creating a new standard for Korea’s residential environment,” and the mission, “We take responsibility for 40 years of living, rather than three years of building.” The aim is to manage facilities and the residential environment over the long term after a home is completed.
As its core values, KES presented “PACT,” formed from the first letters of Prevention, Accountability, Consistency, and Transparency. The values mean checking for risk factors before problems arise, taking responsibility for handling work and following up, and applying consistent management standards at each complex. They also reflect a commitment to transparently disclose management processes and the results of actions to residents.
To that end, KES plans to incorporate common management standards into on-site work guidelines and employee training. It will also step up support to help heads of management offices develop their capabilities as the people responsible for complex operations, overseeing facility management, communication with residents, and service operations.
KES set out “Principle, Record, Respect” as basic guidelines for employees. It plans to ensure that staff follow work procedures and record inspections and actions, while establishing mutual respect between residents and employees as part of the organizational culture. All employees will also continue to take a pledge to comply with the code of ethics.
KES CEO Seo Il-seop said, “We will bring together the experience and expertise each company has built up under a single standard, and strengthen training and support so that employees on the ground can put that standard into practice.” He added, “By upholding the fundamentals of principle, record, and respect, we will become leaders in creating a new standard for Korea’s residential environment, starting on the ground.”
