[Financial News] GenesisNest has unveiled a chat solution that can reliably handle real-time messages even when large numbers of users connect at the same time. The company plans to target service markets that draw surges of users, such as fandom platforms, live streaming and commerce.
According to industry sources on the 4th, GenesisNest, a software development company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), has launched ChatPlanet, a real-time chat solution for businesses.
ChatPlanet allows businesses to add real-time chat functionality through an application programming interface (API) without developing their own chat systems. It supports everything from one-on-one conversations and group chats to large-scale chats involving artists and many fans.
GenesisNest developed ChatPlanet to ease the functional and operational constraints of existing third-party software-as-a-service (SaaS) chat solutions and the cost burden of building an in-house system. Drawing on technology it accumulated by directly designing and operating large-scale fandom chat services, it enables businesses to configure and scale chat features to suit the characteristics of each service.
It can be used across a range of fields, including entertainment, gaming and sports fandoms, as well as customer support, secondhand trading, online education and communities. The solution uses bidirectional messaging technology based on WebSocket and STOMP, and offers features such as push notifications, message reactions, banned-word filtering, and user blocking and reporting. It also supports automatic translation into 15 languages and the reuse of translated results.
Its performance in large-scale concurrent-use environments has also been verified. In tests conducted by GenesisNest with 1,000, 8,000 and 15,000 concurrent users, most messages received responses within 0.2, 0.5 and 1 second, respectively. The message delivery success rate was 99.9% in all three tests, and the company said there were no lost messages or service disruptions during testing.
ChatPlanet has also been deployed on global fandom platforms. It is currently in use for “Day Off,” by ALLDAY PROJECT, an artist under The Black Label, and “Chyureu,” by MEOVV. The solution offers features needed for fandom services, including artist-specific chat management, emoji integration, announcements from administrators and artists, and event message delivery.
GenesisNest said that adopting ChatPlanet can reduce upfront costs by up to 80% or more compared with building an in-house chat system.
