[Financial News] Trinity Airways is hiring experienced pilots and will double the minimum flight-hour requirement for newly hired first officers from next year. The move is intended to improve aviation safety by strengthening pilots’ operational experience.
Trinity Airways said on the 4th that it would accept applications for experienced flight crew positions through 2 p.m. on the 18th. Applicants must hold a Korean Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Pilot certificate (multi-engine land) and have at least 3,000 total flight hours, including 500 hours as captain on a Boeing 737 (B737).
Applicants must also hold an aviation radio operator certificate valid in Korea, a Class 1 aviation medical certificate, and an Aviation English proficiency rating of at least Level 4. The medical certificate and English qualification must each remain valid for at least three months as of the application deadline. Preference will be given to applicants whose most recent period away from flight duties was within the past six months.
In particular, Trinity Airways will raise the minimum total flight-hour requirement for newly hired first officers from 250 to 500 hours starting in 2027. The airline plans to strengthen its safe-operations capabilities by securing personnel with sufficient flight experience from the hiring stage.
The experienced-hire recruitment process will consist of a document screening followed by first- and second-round interviews. Interview schedules will be provided individually to candidates who pass each stage.
Trinity Airways also hires experienced maintenance technicians, parts-repair technicians and specialized maintenance instructors, among others, on an ongoing basis, in addition to flight crew. Details on recruitment schedules and how to apply are available on the official careers website.
A Trinity Airways representative said, “We look forward to talented flight crew professionals taking on the challenge of safeguarding passengers and building air travel people can trust,” adding, “We will continue supporting our flight crew so they can demonstrate their expertise in the best possible environment.”
