[Financial News] On the 3rd, the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) signed a “Win-Win Agreement for the Advancement of Regional Education and the Development of Future Talent” at its Sangyeok office in Daegu with Daegu City, the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, Gangdong High School, Korea Gas Corporation, and the National Information Society Agency (NIA).
According to KODIT on the 4th, the agreement was planned to improve local educational conditions and develop future talent by revitalizing the “Autonomous Public High School 2.0” curriculum at Gangdong High School, located in Daegu Innovation City.
“Autonomous Public High School 2.0” is a public education model in which schools work with local governments, universities, businesses, and public institutions to independently operate curricula suited to the characteristics of their regions. Under the agreement, the participating organizations will work together by drawing on their respective human and material resources and expertise to develop and operate curricula, support students’ career and college plans and experiential activities, strengthen teachers’ capabilities, and improve the educational environment.
KODIT will offer specialized curricula in areas including artificial intelligence (AI) and digital finance, drawing on its expertise in finance and entrepreneurship. It will also introduce a project-based “co-teaching” program in which KODIT employees participate in classes, helping students gain practical, hands-on knowledge.
KODIT Chairman Kang Seung-jun said, “I hope KODIT’s specialized programs will give students a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of the financial sector and explore career paths.” He added, “KODIT will continue to contribute its expertise in finance and entrepreneurship to creating an educational environment that advances regional education and develops future talent.”
