[Financial News] Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd. will expand its strategic cooperation with Neuberger, a U.S. global asset management firm, and begin offering investment products focused on global growth companies.
The plan is to combine Neuberger’s investment capabilities in identifying promising overseas companies with Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd.’s expertise in product distribution and wealth management to provide domestic investors with differentiated opportunities to invest overseas.
Korea Investment Holdings subsidiary Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd. said on the 4th that its president, Kim Seong-hwan, met with Neuberger Chairman and CEO George Herbert Walker IV to discuss ways to expand the supply of global investment products and strengthen strategic cooperation.
The meeting followed Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd.’s global networking event, “KIS Night in New York,” held in New York last September. After executives from both companies met and discussed potential cooperation at the time, they explored specific business plans at this meeting.
That day, President Kim met with Chairman Walker and other senior executives, including Kim Dae-yeon, Neuberger’s representative in Korea, at Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd.’s headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul. They discussed identifying global growth-company investment opportunities and developing financial products tailored to domestic investors’ needs.
Particular emphasis was placed on developing thematic investment products that draw on Neuberger’s capabilities in identifying and analyzing global growth companies. The discussions covered ways to offer domestic investors global investment opportunities in high-growth sectors such as aerospace and semiconductors in Asia, as well as promising companies preparing for initial public offerings (IPOs).
The two companies also agreed to combine Neuberger’s global investment expertise with Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd.’s capabilities in product distribution and wealth management, while continuing discussions on launching related investment funds in Korea.
Neuberger is a diversified asset management firm founded in New York in 1939. It has a presence in 40 cities across 26 countries worldwide, and as of the end of June 2026, its assets under management (AUM) totaled approximately $613 billion (about 800 trillion won). It has investment management capabilities in alternative investments, including private equity and private credit, as well as traditional assets such as stocks and bonds.
Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd. plans to improve domestic investors’ access to high-quality overseas assets through strategic partnerships with global financial companies. Its strategy is to diversify investment products by leveraging the expertise and networks of overseas asset managers, and to strengthen wealth management services tailored to each client’s investment goals and risk appetite.
President Kim said, “The ability to identify companies with high growth potential in global financial markets and secure investment opportunities is becoming increasingly important. By combining Neuberger’s global investment expertise with Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd.’s wealth management capabilities, we will provide domestic investors with differentiated investment opportunities.”
