[Breaking] National Broadcasting Company (NBC): “U.S. Democrats expected to take control of both chambers of Congress”

[Financial News] The Democrats are expected to regain majority status in the Senate as well as the House in the midterm elections held on the 3rd (local time).
NBC News predicted that Democrats would win both the House and the Senate in the midterm elections, aided by victories in Republican strongholds, and take control of both chambers of Congress in January of the following year. It also reported, “The Democrats are expected to use their newly gained power to launch investigations into U.S. President Donald Trump, his family and his administration, and seek to check the president through legislation.”
NBC projected that Democrats would win four of the seven Senate battleground states: Ohio, Texas, Kansas and Iowa. It also assessed that Democrats were leading in Maine and Michigan.
Democrats were also expected to win the House. NBC projected that they would take at least 252 of the 435 seats in total, well above the 218 seats needed for a majority.
