[Financial News] KB Securities said on the 4th that it would offer one-year principal-protected equity-linked bonds (ELBs) based on the KOSPI 200 and Samsung Electronics in three rounds through the 30th.
For these products, if the underlying asset’s closing price does not exceed the preset knock-out level during the investment period, the return at maturity will be calculated by applying the upside participation rate to the underlying asset’s percentage gain. If the knock-out level is exceeded even once during the investment period, a preset rate of return will apply at maturity, regardless of the underlying asset’s price.
The first-round offering, “KB able ELB No. 415,” is based on the KOSPI 200. The knock-out level is 136% of the initial reference price, and the upside participation rate is 100%. If no knock-out occurs, an annualized pre-tax return of 0–36% will apply, depending on the underlying asset’s percentage gain; if a knock-out occurs, the product will pay 2% per year before tax. The offering size is 5 billion won.
For “KB able ELB No. 416,” which is based on Samsung Electronics, the knock-out level is 137% of the initial reference price, and the upside participation rate is 100%. If no knock-out occurs, an annualized pre-tax return of 0–37% will apply; if one occurs, the rate of return will be 3% per year before tax. The offering size is 15 billion won.
For both products, if no knock-out occurs and the maturity valuation price is lower than the initial reference price, the principal will be repaid.
The first-round offering, which began on the 28th of last month, will run through the 6th. The second-round offering period is from the 4th to the 13th, and the third-round period is from the 23rd to the 30th.
