[Financial News] Samsung Electronics Service Co., Ltd. ranked No. 1 for the second consecutive year in the air conditioner after-sales service (AS) category of the 2026 Korean Service Quality Index (KS-SQI), administered by the Korean Standards Association (KSA). It received positive reviews for improving customer convenience through AI-based remote diagnostics and preventive inspection services.
Samsung Electronics Service Co., Ltd. said on the 4th that after taking first place in the air conditioner AS category, which was newly established last year, it had maintained the top spot this year as well.
In this survey, Samsung Electronics Service Co., Ltd. received the industry’s highest scores across overall evaluation categories, including service quality, customer trust, and social contribution. The Blue Pass service, offered to Samsung AI Subscription customers, received particularly high marks.
Samsung Electronics Service Co., Ltd. is improving service efficiency through preventive inspections timed to customers’ product-use patterns and AI-based remote diagnostics. In preparation for increased air conditioner use this summer, it ran a preventive inspection campaign and expanded its service engineering workforce by at least 50%.
The company also operates its SmartThings-based Home Appliance Remote Management (HRM) service. It allows engineers to diagnose the condition of products and help resolve problems without visiting customers in person. In fact, through October this year, six out of every 10 customers who used remote consultations for air conditioners resolved their issues without an in-person service visit.
The company is also expanding tailored services for AI subscription customers. It has added specialized services for newlyweds and senior customers to the existing Blue Pass offerings: AI Pre-Care Notifications, AS Fast Track, and One More Service.
The Newlywed Pass for newlyweds provides comprehensive appliance inspections after a move, as well as visits from a professional cleaning team at times chosen by customers, including at night and on public holidays. The Easy Care Pass for senior customers provides regular phone consultations offering guidance on when to replace consumables and how to use products, and also operates a dedicated consultation channel.
In addition, when disasters such as floods and wildfires occur, Samsung Electronics Service Co., Ltd. dispatches special service teams to affected areas to provide free appliance inspections, cleaning, and repairs.
Samsung Electronics Service Co., Ltd. ranked No. 1 in major service evaluations this year, starting with the Service Center category of Korea’s Most Admired Companies in February, followed by the National Service Awards in June and, in July, the KS-SQI, National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI), and Korea Industry Service Quality Index (KSQI).
Kim Young-ho, CEO (vice president) of Samsung Electronics Service Co., Ltd., said, “We sincerely thank our customers for selecting us as No. 1 in the air conditioner AS category of the Korean Service Quality Index for the second consecutive year,” adding, “We will continue to put customers first and strive to provide services they can trust even more.”
