[Financial News] LX Semicon has nominated Na Jun-ho, head of its Strategic Marketing Division and a vice president, as its new CEO. The company plans to strengthen the competitiveness of its core businesses and accelerate the expansion of new businesses, with Na at the helm. He has built up experience in technology development and business operations in the display system semiconductor field.
LX Semicon said it held a board meeting on the 3rd and carried out its 2027 regular executive reshuffle, including nominating Vice President Na as its new CEO. One new director was also appointed in the reshuffle.
Na joined LX Semicon in 2001 after working at LG Semicon. He went on to serve as head of the Driver IC Development Office (principal researcher), head of the Large Display Development Group (managing director), and head of the TV&IT Business Division (senior managing director), leading technology development and business growth in display system semiconductors.
Since 2024, he has headed the Strategic Marketing Division, overseeing marketing, sales, procurement, and supply chain management for new businesses including display system semiconductors, microcontroller units (MCUs), and thermal substrates. He is credited with contributing to revenue growth and expanding the foundation for new businesses through his technical expertise and business operations capabilities.
LX Semicon plans to strengthen its market leadership in core businesses and identify future growth drivers, drawing on Na’s market- and customer-focused strategy and his ability to drive business initiatives. It also plans to upgrade its risk management system to respond to the rapidly changing industrial environment. Na is expected to be formally appointed CEO after the annual general meeting and board procedures next year.
In addition, principal researcher Kang Mun-seok was newly appointed as a director in the reshuffle.
An LX Semicon representative said, "This executive reshuffle reflects our performance-based approach," adding, "We plan to actively place talented people with the expertise and strong execution skills to lead organizational change and innovation in key roles, accelerating our efforts to secure business competitiveness and future growth drivers."
