Buk-gu held a completion ceremony for the viewing rest area at the summit of Muryongsan on the 3rd. Buk-gu Mayor Lee Dong-gwon, Buk-gu Council Chair Lee Jin-bok, and representatives of local residents cut the commemorative ribbon.

【Financial News Ulsan = Reporter Choi Soo-sang】 A viewing rest area has been built at the summit of Muryongsan, a landmark mountain in Ulsan, and a completion ceremony was held on the 3rd.
The shelter at the summit of Muryongsan, 450 meters above sea level in the area around San 1-1, Yeonam-dong, Buk-gu, Ulsan, was developed as part of the 2024 Resident Support Project for Development-Restricted Areas.
The project received 900 million won in national funding and 100 million won in district funding, for a total cost of 1 billion won. It features a 350-square-meter observation deck, an 800-square-meter area paved with turf blocks, and a space planted with flowering plants.
The summit of Muryongsan was once considered such a scenic viewpoint that it was included among Ulsan’s 12 Scenic Views. From the newly built observation deck, visitors can take in a sweeping view of downtown Buk-gu, Ulsan, as well as Ulsan Airport, Seongan-dong in Jung-gu, and Gajisan in Sangbuk-myeon, Ulju-gun.

The surrounding area, where turf-block paving blends with flowering plants, also offers a pleasant place to unwind where visitors can stop and rest.
Meanwhile, a launch ceremony for wildfire monitoring and suppression personnel was also held at the site that day. A total of 41 monitoring and suppression personnel—including 21 members of the specialized wildfire prevention and suppression team and 20 wildfire monitors—reaffirmed their commitment to wildfire prevention by taking an oath.
