Korea Real Estate Investment & Trust Co., Ltd. completes public notice of its designation as project operator for Sangdo 21 Moa Town A-1 Area

Korea Real Estate Investment & Trust Co., Ltd. said on the 3rd that Dongjak-gu Office in Seoul had officially designated and announced it as the project operator for the “Sangdo 21 Moa Town A-1 Area Street Housing Improvement Project” covering the area around 242 Sangdo-dong.
With the active participation of the project preparation committee and landowners and other rights holders, the consent rate rose from 78.5% when the application to designate a project operator was submitted to a final 80.4% when the designation was announced.
Sangdo 21 Moa Town is a project to develop approximately 69,120 square meters around 242 Sangdo-dong, Dongjak District, dividing the site into three areas: A-1, A-2 and A-3. The A-1 area, whose project operator was designated in this announcement, is expected to have 539 households. If all three areas are developed, they will be transformed into a large residential town with a total of 1,629 households.
In addition to A-1, adjacent A-2 and A-3 had also recorded consent rates of approximately 70% and 65%, respectively, as of the 28th of last month, putting them on the verge of meeting the statutory threshold of 75%. If the three areas move forward with their projects in coordination, they are also expected to generate significant synergies in improving project feasibility, alongside the benefits of linking infrastructure.
The complex is well situated for transit, between Sindaebangsamgeori Station and Jangseungbaegi Station on Seoul Subway Line 7. Following its future designation as a Moa Town, infrastructure, including road widening and improvements to the pedestrian environment, is expected to be upgraded. Together with the nearby Noryangjin New Town and the redevelopment of Sangdo Sections 14 and 15, the area is expected to emerge as a new residential hub in southwestern Seoul.

We will do our utmost to ensure that the two remaining areas meet the consent requirements promptly as well, so that the Sangdo-dong area can develop together and become a high-quality Moa Town.”
