[Financial News] Bitcoin has fallen to around $77,000. The decline is seen as reflecting growing market caution ahead of the U.S. midterm elections.
According to global crypto information platform CoinMarketCap, as of 10:50 a.m. on the 30th, Bitcoin was trading around $77,000, down 1.68% from the previous day (on a 24-hour basis).

Markets are watching the U.S. midterm elections taking place on the 3rd (local time). Some fear that if Democrats become the majority party, related legislation, including the CLARITY Act, a bill regulating the crypto market, could be delayed. The U.S. Democratic Party has previously opposed the legislation, citing the need to strengthen the CLARITY Act’s ethics provisions.
The fallout from the Binance hack on the 29th of last month also continues. North Korean hackers are reportedly entering the laundering phase by moving funds stolen from Binance to networks such as Solana (SOL).
CoinMarketCap’s Crypto Fear and Greed Index stood at 34 on the day, indicating “Fear.” The index ranges from 0 to 100; readings closer to 0 are interpreted as “Extreme Fear,” while those closer to 100 indicate “Extreme Greed.”
At the same time, Ethereum was trading around $2,256, down 1.50% from the previous day. Ripple was trading around $1.24, down 0.75%.
