[Financial News Hongcheon = Reporter Kim Gi-seop] Hongcheon County has launched a joint brand called 'Hewitt Hongcheon' to unite healing agriculture facilities throughout the region under a single name.
According to the Hongcheon County Agricultural Technology Center on the 3rd, "Hewitt Hongcheon" is a name formed by combining "Hyu," meaning rest, with the English words "it" and "eat." It adds the meaning of connecting people and nature, agriculture and healing, to the idea of resting the body and mind and replenishing energy with healthy food.
The development of the brand is a result of the steady increase in visitors seeking therapeutic agriculture. Last year, the number of visitors to Hongcheon's therapeutic agriculture facilities reached 14,095. As local governments across the country have jumped into fostering therapeutic farms since the implementation of the Therapeutic Agriculture Act in 2021, the need to clearly showcase Hongcheon's unique identity has also grown.
The design is based on the Mugunghwa, the county flower of Hongcheon-gun, and interprets various forms of relaxation enjoyed in nature through emotional icons. The brand message is "Hongcheon Healing Agriculture with Relaxation" and "Hongcheon Healing Agriculture Connecting Healthy Rest."
The Center plans to uniformly apply the "Hewitt Hongcheon" brand to promotional materials, guides, and various promotional content for healing agriculture facilities within its jurisdiction. The vision is to consolidate the promotional efforts that have previously been conducted separately by each facility into a unified image, thereby strengthening the power of joint marketing and expanding visitor attraction.
Yoon Seon-hwa, director of the Hongcheon County Agricultural Technology Center, said, "Last year alone, more than 14,000 visitors visited Hongcheon's healing farms," adding, "If the scattered facilities become known together under the single name of Hewitt Hongcheon, the number of visitors will increase, and it will become a new source of income for farm households."
