[Financial News] A large service hub has opened in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, where Hyundai Motor Company and GENESIS customers can leave their vehicles and have them serviced in separate dedicated buildings.
Hyundai Motor Company said on the 3rd, as it opened Indeogwon Hyundai Service in Anyang, that the number of its large service hubs, called Grand Blue Hands, had risen to 17 nationwide and that it plans to expand to 30 by 2029.
Indeogwon Hyundai Service has a separate-building layout, with dedicated buildings for Hyundai Motor Company and GENESIS. Grand Blue Hands locations are divided into integrated and separate-building formats based on their facilities. The integrated format provides separate customer lounges and repair areas for the Hyundai Motor Company and GENESIS brands within one building. The separate-building format has a dedicated building for each brand, with the entire process, from vehicle drop-off to repairs, handled in separate spaces.
Grand Blue Hands is a large, premium service hub that Hyundai Motor Company develops to improve repair services and customer convenience, either by using existing Blue Hands locations or adding new hubs. According to the company, these locations occupy larger sites than regular Blue Hands and offer state-of-the-art repair facilities, comfortable customer amenities and a wide range of repair services.
By region, there are 7 locations in the Seoul metropolitan area, 4 in Honam, 3 in Chungcheong, 2 in Gyeongsang and 1 in Gangwon. Hyundai Motor Company aims to improve customer access by expanding Grand Blue Hands in areas with gaps in its service network, with a goal of establishing 30 locations nationwide by 2029.
Hyundai Motor Company currently operates a total of 1,226 service locations nationwide, including 22 high-tech centers and 1,204 Blue Hands. In July, it relocated a center from Yeongtong District in Suwon-si to Giheung-gu in Yongin-si and opened Suwon High-Tech Center, a facility specializing in complex repairs.
A Hyundai Motor Company official said, “It is important to provide a differentiated customer experience throughout the entire process of vehicle ownership, not just through product competitiveness.” The official added, “We will continue to expand Grand Blue Hands, provide more comfortable and professional repair services, and improve customer satisfaction.”
