[Financial News] KG Mobility Corporation (KGM) said on the 2nd that it sold a total of 6,537 vehicles in domestic and overseas markets in October. Sales fell 26.2% from the previous month, affected by factors including declining global demand and weakening consumer sentiment in the domestic market.
KGM said that day that domestic sales totaled 2,037 vehicles and exports 4,500. Domestic sales declined 3.0% from 2,100 the previous month, a relatively modest drop, but overall sales fell as exports dropped 33.5% from 6,763 the previous month.
KGM is stepping up its market initiatives to increase sales amid the slowdown in domestic and overseas markets. In the domestic market, it is running promotional campaigns, including offering discounts on a total of 1,000 vehicles across its models as part of the 2026 K-Sale Festa.
KGM is also holding test-drive events to offer customers a variety of experiences with its vehicles. It is running two programs: the Autumn Drive Festa at KGM showrooms nationwide and the Autumn Picnic Test-Drive Event, which lets participants go on a picnic for three nights and four days. Last month, it also held the KGM Service Customer Invitation Event at its Gunpo facility at the Metropolitan Service Center, offering free vehicle inspections and guidance on vehicle maintenance, among other efforts to strengthen customer engagement.
A KGM representative said, “To expand export volumes, we are stepping up our efforts to enter new markets, including launching a KD business in Ethiopia last September, following Myanmar.” The representative added, “We plan to increase sales by strengthening our push into emerging markets, including through KD businesses, and stepping up our response to the domestic market with test-drive events and greater customer engagement.”
