Renault Korea Co., Ltd. sells 5,503 vehicles in October as domestic sales rise for third straight month

[Financial News] Renault Korea Co., Ltd. said on the 2nd that it sold a total of 5,503 vehicles in domestic and overseas markets in October. That was down 16.1% from the previous month (6,556 vehicles).
Domestic sales rose 18.1% from the previous month (2,289 vehicles) to 2,703, marking a third consecutive month of growth from the previous month. Exports fell 34.4% from the previous month (4,267 vehicles) to 2,800.
In the domestic market, 1,075 coupé-style sport utility vehicles (SUVs), Renault Arkana, were sold, up 55.6% from the previous month. Sales of the D-segment SUV Grand Koleos rose 5.9% from the previous month to 1,066, while those of the E-segment crossover Renault Filante fell 4.9% to 562.
Vehicles shipped for export included 531 Renault Arkana, 429 Grand Koleos (marketed for export as the Renault Koleos), 25 Renault Filante and 1,815 Polestar 4. The Polestar 4 is an SUV destined for Europe. Polestar 4 shipments fell 41.9% from the previous month (3,124 vehicles), while Renault Arkana shipments declined 18.1% from the previous month (648 vehicles). Renault Filante shipments dropped 65.8% from the previous month (73 vehicles), while Grand Koleos shipments rose 1.7% from the previous month (422 vehicles).
A Renault Korea Co., Ltd. representative said, “With continued customer interest in the ‘7 years/140,000 km’ complimentary extended warranty program, which has been offered since last September to customers purchasing the Renault Filante and 2027-model Grand Koleos, domestic sales have increased for three consecutive months.”
