【Financial News, Jeju = Jeong Yong-bok, reporter】 Around 500 Jeju university students and local young people seeking to explore careers in overseas employment and international cooperation attended Jeju National University's career and employment fair. Around 20 organizations in international cooperation and exchange took part, providing information needed to pursue opportunities overseas and the chance to consult with professionals working in the field.
Jeju National University said on the 2nd that it held the “2026 WIDE JOB FAIR (Wide Job Fair) #International International Careers and Employment Fair” on October 28 at the Central Digital Library.
The fair was designed to give students the chance to explore a range of career paths, including not only overseas employment but also international development cooperation, overseas volunteering and international exchange.
Counseling booths run by organizations in international cooperation and the public sector, including the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) and Jeju Tourism Organization, were set up at the event. Participants learned about each organization's work and career paths, and took part in overseas employment consulting, mentoring from professionals in the field and special lectures on various topics.
A particular focus was giving participants the opportunity to consult directly with staff at the organizations, so they could gain a concrete understanding of the skills and preparation required for employment in international fields.

Jeju National University's University Job Plus Center supports career exploration and employment preparation for local young people as well as enrolled students. The University Job Plus Center is a youth employment support program run by the Ministry of Employment and Labor through universities as hubs, providing career counseling, employment consulting and connections to job information.
The fair provided information and counseling opportunities related to careers in international fields. Jeju National University plans to continue holding sector-specific job fairs, taking young people's career needs into account.
Jeju National University President Yang Deok-soon said, “We will continue to expand our network with organizations in international cooperation and diversify opportunities for overseas experience, such as overseas internships, to further strengthen career and employment support so that young people in Jeju can step onto the world stage.”
