The Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association said on the 2nd that, together with the MFDS, it will hold “On-Site GMP Laboratory Training for Quasi-Drugs” on the 20th at KOTITI Testing & Research Institute in Gwacheon City, Gyeonggi Province.
The training is for 20 manufacturing and quality-control staff from quasi-drug manufacturers. It is designed to help participants learn on-site about the management requirements for laboratory operations and practical testing and analysis, thereby improving companies’ in-house quality-control capabilities and encouraging voluntary GMP adoption.
The training will begin with an introduction to the MFDS’s GMP policies for quasi-drugs. Participants will then tour the KOTITI Testing & Research Institute laboratory to learn about its testing and inspection systems and operations, and share practical experience in quasi-drug testing and analysis, including cases involving the analysis of hazardous substances. The program will also cover a guide to setting standards and test methods for finished products, as well as how to prepare related documents.
KOTITI Testing & Research Institute is an MFDS-designated testing and inspection institution for pharmaceuticals and other products. It conducts testing and analysis of quasi-drugs such as sanitary pads, masks, and topical disinfectants.
There is no participation fee. A total of 20 participants, one from each company, will be recruited through advance registration. Details are available in the notices on the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association website.
