[Financial News] The Korea Freedom Federation Busan Metropolitan City Chapter, chaired by Shin Han-chun, announced that it held a 'Liriope Donation Ceremony Marking the 62nd Anniversary of the Chapter's Founding' on the 2nd at the UN Forces Memorial Tower in the UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea, Nam-gu, Busan.
The ceremony was held to honor the significance of the annual UN Fallen Soldiers Memorial Service organized by the Korea Freedom Federation by planting liriope in the UN Memorial Cemetery, a symbolic site unique in the world, and to leave a historical mark at a landmark visited by local residents and overseas tourists.
About 100 people attended the event, including Heo Nam-sik, head of Busan City's Administrative Autonomy Bureau; Song Woo-hyun, chair of the Administrative and Cultural Affairs Committee of the Busan Metropolitan Council; Seo Jeong-in, head of the management office of the UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea; and Kim Jae-hun, a member of the Busan Metropolitan Council, as well as the leadership of the KFF Busan City Chapter, presidents of district and county chapters, members, and the KFF Busan UN Volunteer Group.
Shin Han-chun, chair of the Korea Freedom Federation Busan Metropolitan City Chapter, said, "I hope that, just as liriope grows green year after year and blooms purple flowers in summer, our hearts remembering the noble sacrifices of UN veterans will remain steadfast. The Busan Metropolitan City Chapter will not let today's donation be a one-time contribution. We will continue to work with the management office of the UN Memorial Cemetery and do our part to ensure that this place remains beautiful for years to come."
