[Financial News] Kang Hyeong-cheol's new film, Kiss For Tomorrow, has finalized the casting of actors Son Suk-ku and Park Bo-young and began filming in earnest on the 31st.
According to content group NEW's film division on the 2nd, director Kang, who helmed Scandal Makers, Sunny, Tazza: The Hidden Card, Swing Kids, and Hi-Five, will direct a romance for the first time with his new film, Kiss For Tomorrow.
Kiss For Tomorrow is a fantasy romantic comedy about a mysterious couple who cannot see the next day without kissing once a day. After an unexpected separation during a cruise, they set out to find the kiss they long for most in their lives.
Son Suk-ku plays Ji-gyeong, a devoted husband who adores his wife, O-seong, with whom he fell in love at first sight. After being unexpectedly separated from his wife during a cruise and left alone in an unfamiliar place, he plays a sympathetic, down-on-his-luck character who struggles to return to her side, drawing the attention of prospective moviegoers.
Actor Park Bo-young plays O-seong, a lovable, energetic wife who is left alone on the cruise and does everything she can to reunite with her husband. She will work again with director Kang, with whom she made Scandal Makers, for the first time in 18 years.
Filming on the movie will continue on location in Korea as well as Singapore and Thailand. Director Kang Hyeong-cheol said, “As time goes by, each film feels even more precious.”
Artwork for the Kiss For Tomorrow screenplay book, created in collaboration with illustrator Hai-ssu, was also unveiled. Hai-ssu said, “When I first read the screenplay, I felt a light, rhythmic flow, like listening to upbeat music, and I enjoyed working on it throughout.”
