【Financial News, Hoengseong = Reporter Kim Gi-seop】Hoengseong County will offer a half-price discount on admission to major local tourist attractions, including Hoengseong Luge and Anheung Jjinppang Morakmorak Village, throughout November.
According to Hoengseong County on the 2nd, the discount will be available to all visitors to the two attractions through the end of this month. Anyone can get 50% off admission, regardless of where they live, significantly reducing the cost for visitors from outside the area.
Hoengseong Luge is a place where visitors can enjoy luge rides down a track against a backdrop of forest and mountain slopes. At Anheung Jjinppang Morakmorak Village, visitors can take part in various hands-on programs centered on Anheung Jjinppang, a signature food of Hoengseong County.
The event is part of the county’s goal of ushering in an era of 5 million visitors to Hoengseong. The county plans to encourage visitors to the two attractions to explore other local tourism resources, develop tourism that encourages longer stays, and continue to create discounts and attractions tailored to what tourists are looking for.
Park Eun-jeong, head of the county’s Culture and Tourism Division, said, “This discount will give people planning a late-autumn trip to Hoengseong a great opportunity to enjoy the thrills of luge and experience Anheung Jjinppang for half price.” She added, “We will expand tourism offerings that encourage longer stays so that visitors who start at the two attractions go on to explore every corner of the area, bringing forward the era of 5 million visitors to Hoengseong.”
