[Financial News] Dunamu will host a policy conference featuring not only YouTubers but also political figures from both the ruling and opposition parties, as well as experts from academia and the legal field.
According to the virtual asset industry on the 2nd, Dunamu will hold 'D-CON 2026 (D-CON)' on the 10th at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul hotel in Yeouido, Seoul. The event will begin at 1:50 p.m., and there is no admission fee.
Now in its fourth edition, D-CON is a policy conference that Dunamu has held since 2023. This year, it will feature three sessions under the theme 'Innovation built over time, blooming into the future (BUIDL to Bloom).'
In the first session, economic YouTuber Syuka World will moderate a discussion on 'Policy tasks for the development of the virtual asset industry' with Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker Min Byeong-deok, People Power Party lawmaker Park Soo-min, and Dunamu Vice Chairman Kim Hyoung-nyon. In the following session, moderated by broadcaster Jung Young-jin, Goran, CEO of Algoran, Kyung Hee University (KHU) professor Kim Sang-yoon, Myongji University professor Park Jeong-ho, and U.S. attorney Danielle Dongjoo Suh, among others, will examine the potential for industrial applications of blockchain technology.
In the final session, Kim Jun-young, a lawyer at Kim & Chang, will give a presentation on global trends in the institutionalization of virtual assets. Seoul National University professor Jung Jun-hyeok, Yonsei University professor Eo Jun-gyeong, and National Assembly Research Service legislative researcher Park Hyo-min are expected to take part as panelists and discuss the direction of Korea's policy response.
A Dunamu representative said, "Major countries, including the United States, are strengthening the substance of their virtual asset regulatory frameworks," adding, "I hope this will be an opportunity to seek practical solutions to ensure that Korea does not fall behind in the global race to institutionalize virtual assets and can become a leading country in the field."
At 'D-CON 2025,' held last November, key topics included the growth potential of the virtual asset industry, such as innovations in payments and settlements through stablecoins and asset tokenization.
