[Financial News] Keumyang International Co. is exclusively launching a special limited-edition wine, Fired Oak Barrel, at E-Mart stores nationwide starting this month to mark the 40th anniversary of Baron de Lestac.
According to Keumyang International Co. on the 2nd, the product is a global limited edition that brings together Baron de Lestac’s 40 years of winemaking expertise and distinctive oak-aging techniques.
The defining feature of Fired Oak Barrel is “Brume Cuivrée” (“copper-colored mist”), a special barrel-baking technique. It involves heating oak barrels at high temperatures while spraying a precisely controlled mist of water to create an environment combining heat and moisture.
This maximizes the expression of oak-derived flavors and tannins, giving the wine a deeper, more complex profile.
It pairs particularly well with charcoal-grilled meat dishes, such as grilled pork belly, barbecue and beef ribs, whose smoky aromas are prominent.
Castel, which owns Baron de Lestac, is a brand founded in the Bordeaux region in 1986 by its owner, Pierre Castel, out of his belief in and passion for the region.
As of 2019, Baron de Lestac had total sales of 9.1 million bottles, including in France. It is one of France’s leading Bordeaux wine brands.
