Busan Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority discusses economic and investment cooperation with Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office

[Financial News] The Busan Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority said on the 2nd that a delegation from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, led by Chief Representative Gillian Lam, visited the Authority on the 30th of last month to review the investment environment in the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone and discuss economic and investment cooperation.
The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office is the overseas economic and trade representative body of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government. It has a representative office in Tokyo, Japan, and covers Korea and Japan. In Korea, it operates a Seoul office that supports the promotion of economic and trade relations, investment cooperation, and exchanges between governments and businesses.
Four officials attended the visit that day, including Chief Representative Gillian Lam and Jo Eun-byeol, head of the Seoul office.
The Authority introduced major development projects in the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone, port and logistics infrastructure, and support programs for foreign-invested companies. The two sides discussed potential investment cooperation with Hong Kong companies and ways to promote future exchanges. They also exchanged views on sharing investment information and facilitating business exchanges by leveraging the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office’s local network. 
Busan Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority Chairman Park Seong-ho said, "We will continue to communicate with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office and expand opportunities for investment cooperation with Hong Kong companies."
